On Saturday 4.17, 2021, we hosted our first -ever UC Riverside Aerospace Conference 2021, a large-scale conference that allows students to explore aerospace opportunities at UC Riverside and inspire them to make a difference in the industry. UCR-UAS partnered with 6 student clubs and 3 school organizations to bring opportunities in the fields of engineering, computer science, information systems and much more. We also invited industry speakers and alumni from JPL, NASA, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, and Relativity Space, and featured 3 award-winning student-lead aerospace projects! The event is proudly sponsored by UCR Launchpad and Relativity Space. Learn more on our website at https://ucrac.com/

It is with disappointment that we bring you the unfortunate news that the 2021 AUVSI-SUAS competition has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While the organizers tried their best to preserve the competition for this year, the reality is that the world is simply not yet prepared to hold such an event safely.
Despite this setback, however, we will be continuing our current development for this year with a new target in our sights: the first ever UC-Riverside Aerospace Conference! During Spring Quarter 2021, UCR-UAS will be hosting UCR's first aerospace-orientated conference in collaboration with ASME, IEEE, SAE Aero, Aerospace Systems, Management Information Systems, and UCR Launchpad. Thus, our goal is to continue our development with the target of having a completed prototype system to present at this conference. We expect that this event will be a massive opportunity for UCR-UAS to not only promote ourselves, but for us to make an impact on the community around us and to inspire individuals to join us in our pursuit of innovation and growth. Read more about the Aerospace Conference here >> We understand that many of you may have questions for us regarding the current situation, so please feel free to contact any of the leads if you have any inquiries about the current status of our project. Keep working hard, we still have a lot to look forward to!! |
